IKEA Recalls SNIGLAR Cribs

Comments Off

The second week of February, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and IKEA Home Furnishings, of Conshohocken, Pa., recalled 20,000 U S and 6,000 Canadian LEOPARD Highchairs.

The four bolts provided with some SNIGLAR cribs to secure the mattress support are not long enough. This can cause the mattress support to detach and collapse, creating a risk of entrapment and suffocation to a child in the crib. No incidents have been reported in the United States.

The strollers were sold at IKEA stores nationwide from October 2005 through June 2010 for about $80. The products were made in Romania.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled highchairs and contact IKEA toll-free at (888) 966-4532 anytime, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.ikea-usa.com.
