Since Governor Mark Dayton signed the Minnesota Child Victims Act in May, statute of limitations on sexual abuse lawsuits has been lifted within Minnesota for the next three years. This law (the Minnesota Child Victims Act) now gives sexual abuse survivors a voice which allows them to come forward and find justice. They can now sue their abusers and ensure that the truth comes out.
Two individuals who lead the fight and deserve great thanks are Senator Ron Latz (DFL) District: 46 and Representative Steve Simon (DFL) District: 46B. They showed leadership in getting the bill passed and made into law.
The stories are real and now finally they can be brought out into the open.
Abuse of children and the continued silence by the offenders needs to be prevented. If you suffered, saw, or suspected such events, it is important to know that there is help out there.

#1 - The Truth, and getting it out into the "Light of Day"for ALL to see.
#2 - Exposure of Pedophiles AND their Enablers
#3 - Children can be Better Protected, now that the Laws have Given Voice to those who were Raped(physically, mentally and Spiritually) when they were just Innocent Children and had their childhoods robbed from them.
This movement is about Protecting Children by exposing the Truth, which some want desperately to keep hidden and secret.
Unfortunately, the Institutional RCC has "craftily twisted" this calling and demand for Truth to be ALL about them. How Sad is that? In how this will hurt the church, decimate the services they offer(even though those services are largely funded with taxpayer$$$), destroy the church and Bankrupt the Institution; with no mention or concern for their "own" Victims or remedy to this problem.
This shouldn't be about anything but the protection of innocent defenseless children in our communities.
And anyone or any Institution that would fight their own victims from ever seeing Justice, is "Truly Bankrupt", Morally and Spiritually, period.
We are fighting this same Battle here in NY. And guess who our Biggest and Only opponent is.

Opening the 3 year window to file civil suits has helped to expose the ugly truth and protect kids today.
And now, Thanks to Judge John Van de North for ordering Archbishop John Nienstedt to release the names and locations of all 33 priests, plus the names of more recently accused child predator clerics since 2004.
And the bishop of Winona is to release all 13 names within his diocese.
Hopefully now more truth will be exposed, victims will be validated and any victims who are still suffering in silence will find the courage to speak up and come forward, therefore protecting children today.
Silence only hurts, and by speaking up there is a chance for healing, exposing the truth, and therefore protecting others.

Minnesota now has "no" criminal nor civil statutes of limitations for actions of childhood sexual abuse. "Minnesota IS NOT a home for pedophiles to roam."

Minnesota is to be highly commended for this action as crimes against children are too heinous for excuses and accused pedophiles like Sylvain Kustyan, Jerry Sandusky, etc.and their enablers, must be apprehended before they have years to continue to destroy young lives. Sandusky is now safely behind bars. But unfortunately, Kustyan, who has been formally charged with two counts each of 1st Degree Sodomy and Sexual Abuse of a ten-year-old little boy, fled to avoid imminent arrest. Kustyan, formerly of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Hermin/ Mazingarbe, France,as an English teacher, has led numerous groups of schoolchildren on trips to the US, the UK and Ireland.. Pedophiles condemn their victims to a lifetime of emotional and psychological trauma and often permanent physical ailments as well. Since the average pedophile has 300 different victims in their lifetime and since the recidivism rate among pedophiles is virtually 100% and since there is no effective treatment and no known cure they must be stopped ASAP!
