The Differances in the Credible Accused Lists are Troubling (update)

Comments Off

The lists continue to be released:

Diocese of Winona Release Their List of 14 Priests Accused of Sexually Abusing Minors

Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis Release Their List of 34 Priests Accused of Sexually Abusing Minors

(update) Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis Release 9 More Names

The Diocese of St Cloud Release Their List of 33 Priests Accused of Sexually Abusing Minors

St. John’s Abbey Release Their List of 18 Monks and Priests Accused of Sexually Abusing Minors

The Diocese of Duluth Release Their List of 17 Priests Accused of Sexually Abusing Minors

The Diocese of Crookston Release Their List of 6 Priests Accused of Sexually Abusing Minors

what is troubling it the comparison to the information at Bishops Accountability:

The Diocese of Crookston
The Diocese of Duluth
The Diocese of St Cloud
Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis
Diocese of Winona

There is also:

The yet to be release list from the  Diocese of New Ulm

In comparing the two sets of lists:  Bishop Accountability numbers vs the released list there are differances ( Names on Bishop Accountability but not Church lists):

For Crookston   3 vs 6 but only 2 names show up on both lists. (Boyd Richard)

For Duluth 19 vs 17  but only 16 names are on both lists (Robert Brom,  Cornelius Kelleher )

For St Cloud 33 and St John’s Abby 19  vs 58  but only 44 names are on each list (Thomas Andert, Paschal Brisson, John Caskey, Isaac Connolly, John Eidenschink, Neil Emon, Paul Gopaul, Reginald Krakovsky, Stephen Lilly, Gregory Madigan, Richard Ohlemacher, Mel Taylor, Daniel Ward, Justin Weger)

For St Paul and Minneapolis 34 (plus 4 more names) vs 45  but only 25 names are on both lists (Stephen Baker, Joseph Damiani, Patrick Dinya, Paul Dudley, Ambrose Filbin , Edmund Frost, Joseph Gallatin, Brother Greg , Michael Keating, Thomas Kemp, Michael G Kolar,  Wendell Mohs,  Antonio Molina, Francisco Montero, Charles Rose,  Marcene Schlosser, Urban Schmitt, Mark Wehmann, Harold Whittet )

(update)  the new St Paul and Minneapolis list of 9 did include Michael G Kolar and Francisco Montero.

For Winona 14 vs 16  but only 14 names are on both lists (Gerald Mahon, Sister  Georgene Stuppy)

For New Ulm is is 0 vs 6 , as New Ulm continues to fight the disclosure (  Michael Guetter Francis Markey, William Marks, David Roney, Douglas Schleisman, Michael Skoblik )

Questions have to be asked about why the differences?

What is in each of these files that put them on or kept them off the lists?

Is there a cannon vs civil law distinction being used?

Is there a distinction for adult abuse  vs the abuse of children?

The names are now disclosed, however there are more lists that exist in Minnesota and there are many more names and more information to find.

Abuse of children and the continued silence by the offenders needs to be prevented. If you suffered, saw, or suspected such events, it is important to know that there is help out there.
