Official Numbers For 2009 : Yearly Highway Deaths Down Again

There was excellent news with the final data from the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety report showing that highway deaths were fewer across the state in 2009. The drop was 421 traffic fatalities in Minnesota in 2009, compared to 455 in 2008. This is the lowest number since 1943.

There are still ongoing concerns about rural roads and drunk driving deaths. Both of which have continued to stay high as causes for the deaths. I will be looking at this report all week concerning the other items it reveals.
