I read Chris Brogan's blog often because it helps with a number of aspects of my business life. However, I found a recent entry troubling, although it's probably right on. He wrote about how the mobile world is building and that businesses need to look at this market:

Look from your side of the equation first: you sleep with your smartphone right beside the bed, don’t you? You reach for it first thing in the morning. You never leave the house without it. You put it on the table at breakfast like a gunslinger. You’re even starting to do some business functions via your mobile devices.

So we are probably looking at a world with even more cell phones and even more drivers not paying attention. It is a world that will be even more dangerous. Although, does it seem possible that more people could be on the phone and driving?

The problem is something many of us here at the Legal Examiner have looked at. For example, Ed Normand, looked at the issue of multitasking:

Think You’re Good at Multitasking? Take This Test, Ed Normand | June 27, 2012 8:51 AM

Which goes along with something I looked at:

True Driving Distraction is Not Knowing Surroundings, Mike Bryant | April 12, 2012 9:49 AM

This is an issue that society will have to really look at. Do we want the roads to get less safe? After all of the improvements we have seen with less highway deaths, less drunk driving, better road and car safety improvement? It doesn't make any sense.

The mobile society growing will not happen in a vacuum. It's important that all of us never lose sight of safety.
