This past week, I saw this statement from Iowa:

Bachmann told reporters after a campaign event in Newton that the economy would start to improve almost immediately after she becomes president because she would immediately implement conservative economic policies to slash the nation’s debt, rule out tax increases and cut regulations.

My first reaction was that President Obama should immediately get on the TV and ask the local 6th District Congresswoman to go to work for the country right away. " Please come to the White House and make it all better."

But, then I started wondering about what a better economy means to her.

Slash the debt: I guess if you cut out Medicare, social security , and maybe even the military you could see some great savings.

Stop tax increases: That would make sure all of her biggest donors would be able to keep their money.

Cut regulations: I think the Minneapolis Tribune captured that issue today:

I don’t think she is talking for the consumer. But she really, never has:
