Early Wednesday morning, after a late night session, State Sen. Michael J. Jungbauer, R-East Bethel was struck by a car while jogging near the Capitol near Kellogg and John Ireland.
It is always bad to see joggers hit on the road and in the crosswalk. Hopefully, a higher profile collision like this will remind people of the danger of cars and pedestrians. It sounded like Sen. Michael J. Jungbauer will be back on the Senate floor soon.
It is reported that he sustained a minor concussion and would remain in the hospital overnight for observation. He was listed as being in fair condition. Hopefully, he is feeling better.
