This past week has been a brutal drive for many people across the country. Seems like it’s snowing every day and everywhere. I’ve been traveling I-94 a lot and seeing a lot of vehicles in the ditch. There have been a number of vehicles turned over and resting against the highway median fences that have been going up over the last couple of years.
I would suspect that if the fences weren’t there, the vehicles would have made it across to the other side in many cases. How many people were saved as a result we will never know. But, it seems like a great example where road improvements really do make a difference in each of our lives.
We see the head-on collisions that come from crossovers or being on the wrong side of the road all the time. When two vehicles are going highway speed and they hit head-on, there are devastating results. Steve Lombardi has done a great job of documenting the wrong way driving affects.
Thankfully, the Minnesota Department of Public safety had the foresight to stop what they could. Safety does make a difference.
A founding partner with Bradshaw & Bryant, Mike Bryant has always fought to find justice for his clients—knowing that legal troubles, both personal injury and criminal, can be devastating for a family. Voted a Top 40 Personal Injury "Super Lawyer" multiple years, Mr. Bryant has also been voted one of the Top 100 Minnesota "Super Lawyers" four times.
