- Last Monday morning, a Winona school bus struck and killed a 74-year-old bicyclist while taking a left turn near Winona Senior High School it struck the woman.
- Last Thursday, a 25-year-old bicyclist died when struck by a dump truck near the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
Each of the many riders will be remembered with the Wednesday evening Ride of Silence. The number of bike riders will continue to grow, hopefully, keeping this in mind will make it safer for everyone. Bike riding has a long history in Minnesota. It aways needs to be safe.
