Checking Minnesota Bridges

Recent troubles with Minnesota bridges has caused concern about their safety among state residents. Thankfully, Minnesota’s 300 bridges have all been reviewed and an updated map has been put together from the National Bridge Inventory database and from Minnesota Department of Transportation reports.

Each driver can look at any bridge they intend to use and find out the county it’s in, the length, year built, daily traffic, last inspection date, rating, status and ID number. Hopefully vigilance with each of these important items will prevent future problems.
