The list of the Priests and Monks from St Johns Abby who have been credibly accused was released last week. A question was raised about three names which weren’t on the list. One of the websites that keeps track of what goes on at the Abby is Behind the Pine Curtain. The site pointed out these omissions. The site then received an anonymous comment that was reported in the St Cloud Times as:
“I hope you die in a car accident” and “Die a hundred deaths you worthless crap stain of a human being.”
The comment was traced back to the Abby and then to Brother Peter Sullivan.
This comment is so disturbing and especially puzzling when you look at the source. It makes you wonder what else will happen as the light which has now been shown with the Child Victim Act shines brighter. Now it seems that the Brother was disturbed by the inclusion of his name on the list of all Monks, which is a far more public list than the one that was released.
These hurtful words should be condemned and have got to stop.
