There are some lively exchanges here at the Legal Examiner as different writers have looked at issues of gun violence and what can be done about it. I am interested in the issue having learned to shoot as a small child under the watchful eyes of my father. He was an avid hunter and strong supporter of the NRA. He taught my brother and I many lessons about how to properly handle firearms. At the same time, how can anyone not be moved by the tragedies that have happened in our schools nationally?

I like these articles because they are well written and they explore the issues we do need to talk about. This is a discussion that the country needs to have and no extreme group on either side needs to control it. Here are a couple of times I have looked at the 2nd Amendment:
