The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration distributed a national report this week that indicated death on the Highways from Motor Vehicle Accidents was the lowest on record. Unfortunately here in Minnesota, the numbers showed an increase from 2006 to 2007.

In Minnesota the report documented a 2% increase from 494 deaths to 504. Looking to the national numbers there was an increase in Motorcyclist deaths and involving Pedestrians. There was also an increase caused by the contributions of alcohol.

As always the goals are to be safe on the roads. Don't drink and drive and start seeing motorcycles and people walking near the road.
