From time to time, I point out recent medical advancements that continue to impress me. This past month, I saw a couple that really did seem like Miracles.

– Gawker has pictures of the first American face transplant.
– Finally, there is the story of a cancer survivor , 13-year-old Dugan Smith, who had a a surgery to replace his leg and still dreams of a big league baseball career. Amazing courage.
