With all of the injury work that we do, we see the ever-growing issues which arise when people don’t have health insurance. The struggles that injured people have with paying bills that they didn’t create. The economic times have made this a greater struggle for individuals and government units alike.
It was great to read that more children are being covered across the country. The expansions have come in the five months since Congress and President Obama used the reauthorization of the Children’s Health Insurance Program to increase funding and enabled states to increase enrollment. The plan of course requires that states work with the federal government, which a couple of them seem to do with great reluctance. But, really are there better reasons?
This success is an example of what a difference the November elections made. It’s a commitment to healthy children and our future. Bravo, to the Administration and the present Congress for this work.
