After good news that highway deaths were down this year, this weekend didn't go very well on Minnesota roads. The good weather in combination with speed and no seat belts has been the usual reason.

Sunday morning,  Aaron J. Larson, 28, of New Brighton,  in a one-car crash in Chisago County  on Hwy. 61 near 250th Street when his vehicle left the road.

Saturday night, Austin J. Skyberg, 22, of Estherville, Iowa, was killed  on Interstate 90 in Nobles County when his SUV  rolled over.

Two people, including a teen age girl,  were killed ,  Saturday in a three-vehicle crash on Hwy. 15 south of Browntown, in McLeod County.

Friday night,  A man and a woman were were killed  south of Fergus Falls in Otter Tail County when they were thrown from an SUV in a single-vehicle crash.

Hopefully, increased police presence and discussion about this incidents will save some lives over the rest of the month.

Our sympathies go out to all of those involve who were injured or lost. As with any death in a Minnesota motor vehicle collision, there are a number of issues that will need to be reviewed. My partner, Joe Crumley, addressed this topic in a article for the Minnesota Lawyers Trial magazine. I was interviewed on the same topic.
