Thursday in the 3900 block of Third Street North. a 13 year old on a bike was hit by a car. Hopefully he will recover quickly. It brings to mind that we
should all be watching for bicyclists, especially as gas prices continue to
stay high and more riders take to the road.
As bicycle riders each person should keep in mind the following :
Wear a helmet for protection for your head and brain in case you
fall down.
Bright clothes and reflectors make you easier to see.
Ride on the right-hand side of the street, so you travel in the same
direction as the traffic.
Use bike lanes or designated bike routes wherever you can.
