Early Friday morning, after a late night session, Rep. Jean Wagenius (DFL-Mpls) was hit by a drunk driver as she traveled home. While attempting to turn south from Interstate 94 onto southbound Interstate 35W at 1:46 a.m her car was rear ended. The driver of the car was charged with DUI.
It is always bad to see drunk drivers on the road. Hopefully, a higher profile collision like this will remind people of the danger of drinking and driving. It sounded like Representative Wagenius was back on the house floor today. It’s a tribute to her that she is back to work so fast. Hopefully, she is feeling better.
