The St. Louis County snowplow drivers who are members of Teamsters Local 320 were on strike Saturday night and didn’t arrive to work when they were called. Hopefully, this is a issue that will be dealt with quickly. The lack of Minnesota snowplows in January is a very important safety concern.

According to KSFY :

County Administrator Kevin Gray told the Duluth News Tribune the Virginia station has 16 to 18 road-maintenance workers. He says the county used its contingency plans for the possible strike to fill the gap, although Saturday’s job action hadn’t been expected.

There is a mediation scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Another reason to take it easy with your winter driving.
