On Wednesday, a 14 month old was hit by a car in a Paynesville, Minnesota daycare parking lot. The boy was taken to the hospital and it is not yet clear what the extent of his injuries are. The driver was leaving after picking up his own children at the home daycare.

For the toddler, they will be covered for no fault benefits as a resident relative who has coverage in their home or if there is no coverage, by the No Fault from the car they were hit by. If there is no coverage on the car, the bills would then go to the assign claims bureau for coverage.

Beyond No Fault , the question of liability concerning the cars actions and those in the daycare will need to determined. Early investigation may be necessary to make these determinations.
