The Diocese of St Cloud Adds Troubling Addition to Their List

Recently,  the Diocese of St Cloud added some information to their list.  It was mainly the names of parishes where these credibly accused Priests have been in the past.   However,  at the very end they added a disclaimer:

The list is of official assignments only. A priest may have also served in other capacities, such as at hospitals and schools as an extension of his pastoral duties in a community.

Basically,  it says that some or maybe all of those who were named have been out in the community and they either have no way of saying where or are refusing to include this information.   It seems odd that in the files and record keeping they don’t have any records that would cover these assignments.   They are a record keeping group that seems to hold onto everything,  when the files are released.

It is a reason why the files are so very important.  Because,  if they knew about one of these priests early,  they were allowing them to go out into the community in places where children are accessible.   The question for those who are still alive is,  are they still having this kind of undisclosed access?

There are still many questions that need to be asked, starting with ,  “What does this disclaimer really mean?”

The names are now disclosed, however there are more lists that exist in Minnesota and there are many more names and information to find.
