Thursday night, a person was crossing the intersection at 49th and University Avenues NE. when a northbound vehicle struck them and than sped off. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital.
The police believe that the car may have right-front damage. Anyone with information should contact the Fridley Police or Anoka County Sheriff Department.
