I have looked a number of times at the issue of increased bicyclist deaths in Minnesota. They so often involve bicycle riders being killed. It's a big metal vehicle and a relatively unprotected rider. Clearly, it's a tragedy that needs to be considered by all drivers and riders.
These are the many riders that are remembered with the Wednesday evening Ride of Silence. The number of bike riders will continue to grow, hopefully, keeping this in mind will make it safer for everyone.
