The deadline is Wednesday for people to make claims from the 35W Bridge Victims Compensation Fund. The 37 million dollar fund was passed in the last legislative session to ensure that as many people as possible could have a process for making claims for their losses.
The bill not only created the fund, but waived the municipal caps which would have limited many of the individual claims. It is an issue that may be looked at again on a wider basis in future legislative sessions.
Claims can be made by contacting the Special Master Panel thought the State website http://www.bridgecollapseclaims.com/ .
