With the summer heating up and getting into full swing we saw a couple of warning issued this week:

The State officials issued a general warning that we all should be thinking about safety:

People get a false sense of safety, and a false sense of perception and that hey we can go out there and drinking and driving and it’s not a problem, but the point is they drink too much with the heat and being in the water and dehydration, alcohol can affect you faster then it becomes a problem, said Freeborn County Water Patrol Deputy, Matt Levorson.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reminded everyone to wear a life jacket. they noted that 90% of people who drown in Corps’ lakes and rivers are not wearing life jackets.
